What we eat today prepares ourselves for tomorrow.
What we eat makes us feel different in our spirit and body.
Firstly, body.
Everyone knows what we eat determines our energy level. Either waking up full of energy and ready to move on, or still tired after having good sleep. Either you get tired easily or are full of energy for the whole day.
Also either you build muscle or fat, become healthy or always sick.
Next is spirit and mind.
We call the stomach area “The Second brain” in Martial Arts, and we believe our emotions are made there, not in our brain.
If we always eat food containing a lot of sugar, artificial flavouring, and additives, or having processed food, and an unbalanced nutrient food, it becomes hard to control our emotions. Like being easy to get angry, feeling fear, not feeling happy, unable to get motivation, or getting depressed, etc.
It’s said that, about 90% of the happy hormone called “serotonin” is made in our gut.
If we always eat natural and healthy with balanced nutrient food, our body become healthier and stronger, we can control our emotions better, and become happier.
Also, try to use some fermented food such as yoghurt, Miso, Natto, and Kimchi. This will keep your gut environment nice and healthy, so It’s good for emotional control, immune system, and energy levels too.
We can choose what we will eat at every meal, so might as well, choose to eat something that makes us strong and happy, and achieve the best spirit and body for today and tomorrow, then we can make the best version of ourselves in 1 year, 5 years, or 10 years later!!
