“If you change your mindset (from the last topic), that will positively effect your body, and exercising will positively effect your mind as well.”
Physical exercise does so many great things to our body and mind.
It makes us healthy and fit, strong and fast, makes our mind clear and focus better, makes us mentally and physically tough, and on and on.
You can get these benefits from any exercises, but the most important thing is to do it regularly and persistently.
You can’t achieve the results if you just exercise when you feel like it, or exercise for only one month then stop.
You must keep going for your life time.
You have to challenge yourself when you exercise, but if you try to always do hard athlete’s training, it might be hard to keep going for your life time.
So what you have to do is to know what stage you are in at the moment, and what kind of exercise you should do, and try your best in the each stage.
For martial arts training, you should do physically hard exercises such as hard cardio training and lot’s of sparring sessions when you are young and if you are aiming for competitions.
But when you get older and stop competing, you should focus on doing more technique practice, flexibility exercises, and breathing exercises, etc.
That way, you can keep going and keep improving regularly.
Regular exercise can reduce the risk of serious diseases such as cancer, stroke and heart disease too, and people who exercise regularly benefit with a positive boost in mood and lower rates of depression.
People sometimes come to my classes or personal training tired, stressed, or depressed from work, etc, but when they start training and by the time they finish training, they feel better, get more energy, and feel happier.
That’s because the training itself is enjoyable, and also when you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins that make you feel better, and your mind gets clearer.
Endorphins also make your immune system stronger too.
I recommend not missing exercise even when you feel a little bit tired, stressed, or depressed from something.
You always feel better and get more energy after exercise.
So, if you change your mindset (from the last topic), that will positively effect your body, and exercising will positively effect your mind as well.
