The Power of Takedowns in Submission Arts Wrestling

In street self defence situations, you can smash your opponent onto the concrete ground and finish a fight with one good takedown.”

One of the strongest and important points of Submission Arts Wrestling is you can learn many different kinds of good takedowns and throws.

Takedown techniques are as important as ground techniques in Submission Arts Wrestling.

If you have good takedown techniques, you might be able to finish a fight from just one takedown, if not, at least you can get a good position for ground fighting, and getting to submissions easier.

You will be learning not only takedowns and throws in SAW, but also learning the details of the connecting points from takedowns to ground fighting, so you can flow into submissions straight after takedowns and throws.

SAW is also good against striking attacks, like how to catch your opponent from striking distance, counter takedowns and throws against striking, and strategies against good strikers, etc.

In street self defence situations, you can smash your opponent onto the concrete ground and finish a fight with one good takedown.

Or you might encounter a situation where you don’t want to give your opponent damage by striking, but it might be very hard if they go crazy and keep punching you and if you are not striking them back.

In that case, you can catch them, and just take them down with control and submit them if you got good takedowns and throws.

Also, a lot of people have never been thrown before, so they don’t know how to get less damage when they get thrown.

They usually break their arms, shoulders, or hit their head and get head injuries.

But don’t worry.

In SAW, you will learn how to fall properly, and get better with making less impact when you are getting thrown too.

So, the SAW takedowns and throws are very useful for both competitions and self defence situations.

We have a good curriculum for people to learn and progress step by step.

So, come to learn and practice the SAW “No Gi” takedowns and throws!!
